Commission: Appointed as the media liaison lead for this leading human rights and legal aid law firm.

Duration: Since 2016

Brief: To provide a range of media, PR and strategic communications services, consultancy and briefings to the firm, its clients and barrister team (Garden Court), and to brief and liaise with the media on behalf of Birnberg Peirce & Partners. This includes the Hillsborough Inquests (the firm represents 77 of the 96 families of the deceased), the Camber Sands Inquests and post inquests’ representations.

Role:

To work closely with managing partner, the award-winning lawyer Marcia Willis Stewart QC (Hon)
To provide tailored media advice and PR consultancy to Willis Stewart, the team, clients and barristers, where relevant
To attend legal briefings and to adapt the information for a lay audience
To brief journalists/media
To produce press briefings (such as operational notes), statements and releases
To provide media consultancy and guidance to lawyers and families
Media management and protocol
To organise, oversee and manage press conferences (Hillsborough Inquests and Camber Sands Inquests)
To work with, commission and brief photographers, when relevant
To write articles, when relevant.
